About the Role
Position function: Reporting to the Plant Manager for Caldic USA Inc., the individual will be responsible for all Operations functions at the Chicago location for Caldic USA Inc.
Scope: The Operations Team member will ensure that all daily functions are performed according to Caldic processes and procedures. The individual will adhere to all processes and procedures so that all tasks are completed safely and efficiently through the use of appropriate systems, tools and equipment specifically provided by Caldic.
Key Responsibilities
- Become familiar with all operations procedures and the creation of products according to formulation procedures
- Ensure all in-coming loads have a “P.O.” number and record the time received on the P.O.
- Verify goods match the Bill of Lading and that the load should be received by Caldic USA Inc., Chicago.
- ·Attach the proper incoming labels (color chart) with the load and attach so that the labels are visible when racked to ensure proper stock rotation.
- Complete “vehicle inspection” checklist and submit to shipping/receiving office. Do not unload a pest infected load.
- Each in-coming skid must be inspected for damages as they are being unloaded along with lot numbers. Counts must be recorded on the receiving purchase order and bill of lading to be signed
- Place stock in warehouse keeping allergens and other products requirements in order.
- Load customer and Caldic trucks as needed.
- Maintain shipping plant area in a clean and safe fashion representative of a food processing facility.
- Provide training and instructions to assistants/ temporary workers as well as team members
- Perform Tote and Plant sanitation tasks when required.
- To use WMS and other related procedures as required. Use appropriate inventory policy – i.e. use oldest Lot number first (FIFO).
- To attend any required training necessary for the job.
- Complete all other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager
Job Requirements & Skills
- Grade 12 education or equivalent is considered an asset
- Must have 1 year of shipping/receiving experience
- Must be able to lift up to 25kg/50lbs on a regular basis
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills
- Forklift driving and Reach Truck License is an asset
