We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to oversee all maintenance activities in our food products blending facility. This role ensures the reliability and efficiency of processing equipment, blending systems, pumps, piping, and sanitation systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical and electrical background, particularly in food or beverage manufacturing environments governed by strict hygiene and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and lead the maintenance team to support production operations and minimize downtime.
  • Plan and coordinate preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance for mixers, tanks, pumps, CIP systems, valves, and packaging equipment.
  • Ensure all equipment complies with food safety, GMP, and sanitation requirements.
  • Conduct regular inspections and monitor equipment performance to ensure efficient and safe operation.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and spare parts inventory.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, and sanitation teams to ensure seamless operation and compliance with HACCP and FDA regulations.
  • Train, mentor, and develop maintenance technicians on proper procedures and safety practices.
  • Support installation and commissioning of new equipment or upgrades.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
  • Respond to emergency breakdowns and provide hands-on support as needed.
  • Manage maintenance shift schedules and ensure proper coverage.

Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a mechanical, electrical, or industrial field preferred.
  • 3+ years of maintenance experience in food, beverage, or liquid processing industry.
  • 1+ year in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of food-grade equipment, sanitary design, and blending systems.
  • Experience with pumps, CIP (Clean-In-Place) systems, PLCs, valves, and automated controls.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA, GMP, HACCP, and other food safety standards.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Proficient in using CMMS and Microsoft Office tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications in refrigeration, electrical systems, or food safety (e.g., OSHA 30, HACCP).
  • Experience working in a USDA, FDA, or SQF-audited facility.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing or TPM practices.
