About the Role
Caldic Malaysia is seeking a highly capable Finance Manager to lead and manage all financial operations across the business. This role requires a strategic thinker who can also execute day-to-day financial activities with precision. The ideal candidate is experienced in managing finance functions within a multinational and multicultural environment and is fluent in English.
Reporting directly to the APAC CFO, the Finance Manager will act as a key business partner and co-pilot to the Managing Director of Malaysia & Singapore, playing a critical role in driving financial performance, improving operational efficiency, and identifying growth opportunities in both existing and new markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with the Country Managing Director to drive business revenue, profitability, and working capital optimization to achieve strategic goals.
- Lead financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. Prepare and present monthly financial reports such as P&L statements, budget vs. forecast analysis, and cash flow reports by business segment.
- Serve as a hands-on finance business partner to operations and senior leadership, providing actionable insights and strategic recommendations.
- Analyze financial and operational data, ensuring clear, concise, and impactful reporting. Enhance existing dashboards and propose improvements.
- Monitor and manage working capital, overseeing accounts receivable and payable to optimize cash flow and streamline processes.
- Establish and maintain internal controls and compliance systems to safeguard company assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Ensure compliance with Malaysia/Singapore/Myanmar regulations, including tax laws, and adhere to company Delegation of Authority (DOA).
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team.
- Oversee credit evaluations, approve customer payment terms, and review new vendor applications.
- Liaise with external stakeholders including auditors, insurers, tax consultants, and other service providers.
- Support tax audits and ensure timely completion of Transfer Pricing documentation in collaboration with tax consultants.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA qualification preferred.
- Minimum of 12 years’ experience in a financial leadership role, preferably within a multinational company.
- Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and financial oversight.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with JD Edwards ERP is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with CRM software is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in both written and spoken English.
- High personal integrity and strong ethical standards.
- Comfortable navigating both Western and Eastern business cultures.
