Import Representative

About the Role

The position is responsible for executing importation tasks and responsibilities in compliance with customs regulations and as support to the sales division.

Key Responsibilities

• Processes importation bookings, coordinates with principals regarding bookings and monitors shipments
• Ensures that the principals/suppliers acknowledge the order booked
• Ensures that the complete shipping documents are received from the suppliers with ample lead-time for documentation and bank transactions
• Ensures timely processing of Goods in Transit
• Awards shipments to forwarders and/or brokers and coordinates all needed pre-documentation/permits
• Checks accurately customs duties and taxes as provided by the broker in compliance with customs regulations
• Sending of duties for payment to Finance
• Coordinates timely delivery to the warehouse or to the customers
• Diligently updates the shipment in the system
• Complies with IMS Standards.
• Performs other related functions as required by superiors and or Caldic Philippines Inc. authorized representatives.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Customs Administration, or equivalent preferred (Logistics or Supply Chain Management)
• Minimum 3 years of experience in corporate environment 
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Competency in spoken and written English
• Knowledge in JDE is prefered
• Other skills:
  • Action-oriented with ability to deliver timely and positive results
  • Requires knowledge of company, products, and/or services
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Works effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
