Job Title: Senior Finance Manager

About the Role

The Senior Finance Manager is a critical member of the Philippines leadership team, responsible for providing strategic financial leadership for the Philippines. This role owns the full spectrum of finance, controlling, and governance responsibilities—spanning accounting, FP&A, treasury, tax, compliance, and working capital management—while acting as a trusted business partner to the Philippines team.

 

Beyond operational excellence, this role plays a pivotal part in driving profitable growth under Strategy 2027, leading finance transformation initiatives, and serving as the finance lead for the Philippines. The role currently overseas 11 FTE’s in Philippines.

 

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a strong hands-on mindset—someone who can see the big picture while ensuring rigorous planning, execution and automation/ digitization in day-to-day financial operations. Previous experience in standardizing and outsourcing processes or collaboration with shared-service centers is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership & Business Partnership
  • Partner closely with the Regional Director SEA and Managing Director, Thailand to drive gross profit, EBITDA, and Free Cash Flow generation in line with Strategy 2027.
  • Translate financial performance into clear insights and actionable recommendations for senior management to support strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Act as a hands-on, value-adding business partner to operations and commercial teams, providing real-time financial guidance and challenge.

 

  • Financial Planning, Analysis & Reporting
  • Lead end-to-end financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes across the Philippines.
  • Prepare and present monthly financial results, including P&L, forecast vs. budget analysis, cash flow statements, and segment-level performance reviews.
  • Deliver high-quality variance analysis and management commentary for senior leadership and regional finance forums.
  • Monitor financial performance, trends, and KPIs, ensuring insights are clear, relevant, and decision-oriented.

 

  • Finance Operations, Controls & Compliance
  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and ensure accurate, timely month-end and year-end closings with full accountability for data integrity.
  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve internal controls, compliance frameworks, and governance processes to safeguard company assets and ensure regulatory adherence.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, statutory requirements, and local regulations, including GST, payroll tax, and payroll compliance.
  • Review monthly payroll to ensure accuracy, compliance, and alignment with local labor laws.

 

  • Working Capital, Cash & Risk Management
  • Proactively manage and optimize working capital, cash flow, and liquidity across the region.
  • Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable to accelerate collections, streamline vendor payments, and reduce risk.
  • Evaluate customer creditworthiness, approve payment terms, and authorize new vendor applications.
  • Manage relationships with banks, insurers, auditors, tax advisors, and other external stakeholders.

 

  • Finance Transformation & Systems Leadership
  • Establish and standardize finance processes and ways of working with a key focus to reduce manual processes where possible.
  • Actively lead and contribute to Group and APAC finance transformation initiatives, including system improvements and process automation.
  • Serve as finance lead for the Philippines, automating/ digitizing, driving effective use of ERP, data analytics, and digital tools to enhance business performance.

 

  • People Leadership
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing finance team, including qualified accountants and AR/AP professionals.
  • Build a strong finance talent pipeline, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (MBA and/or CPA preferred).
  • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in a senior financial management role.
  • Proven experience in strategic planning, financial leadership, taxation and business partnering at management level.
  • Strong people leader with a track record of coaching, developing, and motivating teams to deliver results.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; strong experience with financial systems, particularly JD Edwards ERP.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • High integrity, professionalism, and ethical standards.
  • Experience in a similar industry is an advantage.
