About the Role
Position Overview
We are seeking a proactive and commercially driven Key Account Manager to support the growth of our
CAS (Coatings, Adhesives, Sealants, and Construction) business in Japan. This role focuses on developing new business opportunities, expanding market share, and managing strategic customer and supplier relationships by leveraging Caldic’s CAS portfolio including Additives and other key specialty ingredients from key global/regional principals. The successful candidate combines strong sales drive with technical understanding and is capable of acting as a trusted partner to customers in the CAS industry.

Key Responsibilities
New Business Development (40%):
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the CAS market
- Build and manage a strong sales pipeline to achieve growth targets
- Convert leads into long-term customer relationships through proactive market development activities
Key Account & Principal Management (60%):
- Manage and grow relationships with key CAS customers and focused principals/suppliers
- Understand customer formulation and business needs, positioning Caldic’s excipients portfolio effectively
- Drive cross-selling and upselling opportunities to maximize account value and profitability
Technical Promotion & Support:
- Promote CAS specialty ingredients through technical discussions including formulation, product training, and customer support
- Represent Caldic at industry events, exhibitions, and customer meetings
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer developments to support business strategy
Reporting & Collaboration
- Provide regular updates on pipeline, sales performance, and market insights
- Work closely with internal commercial, regulatory, technical, and supply chain teams to ensure customer satisfaction and project execution
Job Requirements
Position Requirements & Key Abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Business related field
- Minimum 5–7 years of experience in Coatings or Industrial ingredients distribution, or related Industrial sales
- Strong hunter mentality with proven sales achievement
- Business-level English communication skills
- Good analytical, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to provide technical and commercial support to customers
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools
- Willingness to travel within Japan as required
