As well as our extensive range of cleaning and sanitizing chemicals we also toll manufacture for a number of well-known companies. Join our Napier team in a busy, varied role assisting with the production of products in accordance with production schedule requirements. 

We are open to candidates who are new to the workforce, experienced and/or ready for a new change! We want you to succeed and training will be provided. This is a great opportunity to be part of a reputable and locally known business!

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Produce products
  • Process and store inwards goods
  • Ensure there is efficient workflow through the factory
  • Assemble raw materials, packaging and labelling prior to batches being made
  • Complete chemical blends according to batch ticket instructions
  • Preparing and processing of outbound orders
  • Comply with good manufacturing practice 
  • Ensure equipment is in good working order and report maintenance requirements
  • Assist with pack downs
  • Ensure relevant quality standards, procedures and records are maintained throughout all production processes
  • Ensure quality control testing of products and sampling are completed in a timely manner
  • Keep work areas tidy and clean equipment after use
  • Undertake general factory and dispatch duties

Skills

 

  • A current DG license/quals and Forklift license is essential
  • Previous chemical handling and manufacturing experience working in a factory/certification, beneficial yet not essential
  • Punctual, reliable and motivated
  • Able to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision, can work independently and is a strong team player
  • Takes pride in completing work, with attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • An awareness of the importance of health and safety and follows all protocols
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills 
  • A positive attitude, a willingness to learn and a strong work ethic
  • Knowledge of dangerous goods and chemical handling would be advantageous but not essential
  • Knowledge of warehouse environments including inventory systems and stock control, beneficial yet not essential
