About the Role
This role involves overseeing and optimizing the company's supply chain operations Pan India to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness. The Personnel will support the Supply Chain Manager in day-to-day operations, coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, and contribute to the development and implementation of supply chain strategies.
Key Responsibilities
A. Coordination & Operations
- Coordinate closely with Customer Service, Purchase, Warehouse, and Dispatch teams to ensure smooth day-to-day supply chain operations.
- Facilitate accurate order processing, timely product movement, and efficient execution of supply plans.
- Address and resolve any operational bottlenecks impacting delivery performance or customer satisfaction.
B. Inventory Management
- Monitor inventory levels across multiple locations to ensure optimal stock availability.
- Manage stock replenishment, cycle counts, stock reconciliation, and timely reporting.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for all inventory transactions and warehouse activities.
C. Logistics Management
- Track shipments from origin to destination, ensuring timely dispatch, receipt, loading, and unloading.
- Work proactively with logistics partners, freight forwarders, and transporters to ensure cost-effective routing and on-time deliveries.
- Troubleshoot delays, damages, or discrepancies and take corrective actions.
D. Data Analysis & Reporting
- Analyze supply chain performance data to identify gaps, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
- Prepare and share timely reports on KPIs such as OTIF, inventory accuracy, order cycle time, and logistics costs.
- Support forecasting activities and contribute to demand planning discussions.
E. Compliance & Regulatory Adherence
- Ensure all supply chain activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements, particularly those relevant to chemical trading.
- Prepare and submit regulatory reports, customs documentation, and statutory filings as required.
- Review SOPs, guidelines, and operational processes to ensure ongoing compliance.
F. Project Management & Continuous Improvement
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and operational improvement projects across logistics, warehousing, and procurement.
- Lead or support implementation of process enhancements, automation initiatives, or optimization projects.
G. 3PL & Vendor Management
- Manage performance of 3PL partners, transporters, and other supply chain vendors.
- Regularly review and align KPIs, SLAs, and operational metrics for optimal service delivery.
- Address vendor performance issues and support contract reviews where needed.
H. Cross-functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, Production, and Customer Service teams to align supply chain operations with business goals and market requirements.
- Participate in cross-departmental meetings and support new project rollouts.
I. Customer Service & Shipment Support
- Assist Customer Service and Purchase teams in coordinating with freight forwarders, logistics companies, and suppliers for timely shipments.
- Ensure proper documentation, including BLs, invoices, MSDS, COAs, and regulatory papers, are received and processed on time.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or MBA in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, preferably in customer service, warehouse management, logistics, or supply chain roles.
- Experience in chemical trading or industrial goods environment is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of supply chain processes, warehouse operations, and logistics practices.
- Familiarity with local regulatory requirements for chemical handling, transportation, and documentation.
- Ability to ensure full compliance with company guidelines, statutory obligations, and industry standards.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management System and ability to support its maintenance.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (Excel, ERP systems, etc.).
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in written and spoken English.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety, PPE usage, and promotion of safe operational practices.
- Strong organizational skills, stakeholder management abilities, and a collaborative mindset.
