Job Title: Senior Finance Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis

About the Role
Position function:
Reporting to the Director of Finance, FP&A and Revenue Management of Caldic North America Inc., The Senior Manager, FP&A will act as a key finance partner to support all functional areas of Caldic North America in its growth aspirations in areas of financial analysis, forecasting, budgeting, business case development, cost modelling and management reporting. This role will ensure that the department plans, and forecasts are complete and align with the corporate strategy and business objectives.
Scope:
The Senior Finance Manager, FP&A will be a key contributor to the analytical engine of the business providing financial consulting and strategic support to senior management which will include performing new business analysis (organic and acquisition), cash flow analysis, and preparing presentations for various audiences including executive management/board members. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of driving continuous improvement with a hands-on approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze the trends of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), especially relating to financial metrics such as sales, margins, operating expenses and working capital
- Monitor KPIs and identify the cause of any unexpected variances to deliver clear and actionable recommendations to senior management
- Develop and continually improve budgeting, financial projections, and operating forecasts
- Partner with the business leaders to develop annual plans and quarterly financial forecasts; develop efficient processes to consolidate budget/forecast submissions and prepare presentations to senior/executive management; ensure adequate review and buy-in
- Develop models to support strategic initiatives and track progress against the Company’s strategic plan and cost savings initiatives
- Leverage business intelligence tools to develop dashboard reports and KPIs for all areas of the business
- Support management team with data-driven analysis
- Prepare financial reporting packages with variance analysis for both P&L and Cash FlowDevelopment and maintenance of cost center hierarchy to facilitate effective departmental and divisional reporting
- Pro-actively lead continuous improvement for both financial and when relevant operational processes
- Strong business partnering skill set and focusMentor and train analysts and business partners to enhance understanding of financial and accounting policies and systems and deliver enhanced business decisions
- Perform/manage ad hoc projects, analysis and reporting as required by senior management established by Caldic

- In depth experience analyzing sales and margins including price/volume/mix and determining root causes of problems based on behaviourial, system and operational driven factors
- Strong and developing story-telling skills with the ability create presentations to communicate messages in a clear and concise manner relevant to the audience
- Committed to continuous learning and providing and receiving candid feedback
- Has demonstrated Caldic’s values and culture
- Technically savvy and has Expert-level proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Strong quantitative analysis and financial modeling skills
- Prior distribution/logistics and/or consumer packaged goods industry experience required
- Post-secondary degree in Accounting; CPA designation required
- 7-10 years progressive experience in finance with a minimum of 3 years in a management role with direct reports
- Experience with Dynamics AX and Power BI is an asset
- Experience working in a global organization with matrixed reporting structures is an asset
