About the Role
Position function: Reporting to the Director of IT for Caldic North America, the Data Harmonization Business Analyst will play a critical role in the Master Data Harmonization project which is a workstream in a broader ERP Migration program. The ideal candidate has a strong background in data mapping, business process analysis, and ERP implementations, preferably Microsoft D365 F&O with experience in process manufacturing within the life sciences, food, nutrition or personal care industries.
Scope: This role will be pivotal in reengineering processes, consolidating and standardizing data to promote adherence to the common data model and ensuring smooth transition to the new target data model and processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining requirements and working with stakeholders to reengineer processes. The role will also execute the strategy for data harmonization, facilitate the adoption of a common global master data model, support the cleansing and unification of master data records, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to redesign business processes to align with the new data standards. The candidate will work closely with Business Analysts, the Global Master Data Team, Local and Global IT Teams as well as business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Business Process Reengineering
- Partner with business process owners and functional teams to document requirements for data mapping, transformation, and validation.
- Conduct process reengineering to align with the harmonized master data model.
- Develop updated work instructions, training documentation and standard operating procedures.
- Work with stakeholders to ensure alignment with overall ERP architecture and data governance frameworks.
Master Data Model Standardization
- Facilitate workshops with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on data definitions, business rules, and governance standards.
- Support the adoption of and adherence to the common Global Master Data Model covering customers, vendors, locations and parties.
- Develop source-to-target data mapping specifications .
Data Cleansing & Consolidation
- Assist in designing and executing data migration test cycles and work with technical teams to ensure data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes meet business requirements.
- Coordinate with local data owners to map, transform, and validate harmonized data sets.
Knowledge / Skills & Experiences
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience as a Business Analyst in ERP implementations, preferably with Microsoft D365 F&O
- Demonstrated experience in data mapping, harmonization, and migration for large-scale projects.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills; able to work with stakeholders across multiple regions and functions.
- Experience with data profiling, cleansing, and migration tools.
- Proficiency with Excel, Visio, and data analysis tools.
