The Environmental Health and Safety Manager is responsible to manage the organization's safety programs to protect employees and the company against harm, and maintain safe working conditions. Formulates and suggests work safety standards, and enforces procedures. Risk prevention areas include hazardous materials exposure, accidents, fires, or other unsafe conditions. Meets compliance and reporting requirements of federal and state provisions. Advises management on problem correction.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate and execute all requirements and leads all Environmental, Health and Safety related initiatives for BrandNu Laboratories
- Develop, manage and implement safety programs and policies to ensure regulatory compliance and reduce or eliminate injuries, financial and property loss
- Manage the response investigation of reports of hazardous or potentially hazardous conditions; review recommendations and/or take appropriate action in order to mitigate potential safety, health, and environmental risks
- Coordinate annual budget and assist in the development of capital expenditure budgets related to environmental, health and safety programs
- Establish and implement short- and long-range goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures; monitor and evaluate program/project effectiveness; effect changes required for improvement
- Responsible for the development, implementation, presentation and record keeping of environmental health and safety training programs, including initial and ongoing training of employees
- Develop and coordinate emergency response plans and conduct regular drills
- Coordinate and manage regular Safety Committee meetings, actions identified and communications

Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with 7 to 10 years’ experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified, preferably in a manufacturing setting
- Proven ability to develop and maintain recordkeeping systems and procedures
- Proven ability to investigate accidents and near-misses to determine root causes and implement preventive measures
- Knowledge of chemical, hazardous waste, industrial hygiene, and/or environmental health
