Business Development Manager – Southeast Region (Remote)
Location: Remote – Southeast U.S. (North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia, Maryland)
Reports to: Global Sales Manager – Pharma Division
Travel: 40–50% (regional site visits, conferences, customer meetings)

Role Summary
We are seeking a hunter-minded Business Development Manager to lead growth across the Southeast U.S. pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical sector. The successful candidate will leverage existing relationships, build new partnerships, and drive high-margin opportunities in GMP manufacturing environments across North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia, and Maryland.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong network in pharma/biotech, deep understanding of cGMP materials and processes, and a proven track record of winning new business in highly regulated industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospecting & New Business Acquisition – Identify, qualify, and secure new accounts within pharma/biotech/CDMO manufacturing across the Southeast region.
- Territory Growth Strategy – Develop and execute a sales plan aligned with Brand-Nu’s EBITDA and revenue goals.
- Account Development – Build trusted, long-term relationships with key decision-makers (Procurement, Manufacturing, Quality, Technical Ops).
- Solution Selling – Partner with sourcing, technical, and operations teams to deliver customized solutions (e.g., repackaging, logistics, supply agreements).
- Pipeline Management – Maintain accurate opportunity tracking, forecasting, and customer data in CRM.
- Market Engagement – Represent Brand-Nu at industry conferences, trade shows, and customer events to build visibility and credibility.
Regulatory & Technical Knowledge – Stay current on GMP compliance requirements, regulatory trends, and competitor activity.
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of business development or technical sales experience in pharma/biotech, CDMO, or regulated manufacturing environments.
- Demonstrated success as a hunter with a strong track record of acquiring new accounts and exceeding targets.
- Knowledge of cGMP/cGxP manufacturing requirements and experience selling to GMP production facilities.
- Established relationships within the Southeast life sciences cluster.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in CRM tools (Microsoft Dynamics or Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to travel 40–50% within the region.
Preferred:
- Advanced degree (MBA, MS) or equivalent industry experience.
- Experience in raw materials, excipients, buffers, or high-purity solvents for pharma/biotech production.
Familiarity with supply agreements, long-term contracts, and global sourcing processes.
