Production Leader with Health & Safety Responsibility

About the Role

Are you a hands-on leader with a passion for both production efficiency and workplace safety? We are looking for a Production Leader with Health & Safety Responsibility to join our dynamic team in our newly opened state of the art factory in Malmö, Sweden. In this role, you’ll oversee daily production operations while driving a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Production Leadership

Lead and manage daily operations of the production team, ensuring safety standards and production schedules are met.

Provide guidance and problem-solving support to the team during production to minimize downtime and keep operations on track.

Actively monitor the production environment for potential safety risks and address concerns immediately.

 

Health & Safety

Lead and coordinate Health & Safety initiatives within the factory, ensuring compliance with both corporate policies and local regulations.

Conduct regular risk assessments, safety audits, and incident investigations, implementing corrective actions where necessary.

Drive Behavior-Based Safety (BBS) initiatives, focusing on proactive hazard reporting and safe behaviors.

Coordinate and deliver safety training programs, including work environment training (BAM), fire safety, and CPR.

 

Quality & Efficiency

Ensure the production process meets all quality standards in collaboration with the QC team.

Lead improvement projects like 5S and Lean to increase operational efficiency.

Manage deviations and complaints in collaboration with QA/QC.

 

Employee Development

Foster a positive and safe work environment by offering coaching and support to production staff.

Ensure employees are trained in both production processes and safety procedures, maintaining a high level of team morale.

Skills

We are looking for a problem solver with strong communication skills. You have the ability to inspire, lead, and motivate production teams, ensuring both productivity and safety are maintained. You thrive a dynamic environment where production schedules, safety regulations, and team needs are constantly evolving.

 

Job Requirements

  • Educational Background: Relevant vocational or technical education (e.g., engineering, manufacturing, occupational safety).
  • Experience: Proven experience in a production leadership role within a manufacturing or industrial environment. Hands-on experience in managing production processes and ensuring health & safety compliance is essential.
  • Health & Safety Expertise: Strong understanding of safety regulations and practical experience with safety protocols on the production floor. Experience conducting risk assessments and incident investigations is a plus.
  • Language Skills: Fluent in English and either Swedish or Danish.
  • Bonus: Prior experience with the FSSC standard is a plus.
