Product & Application Developer - savoury

About the Role

Caldic is looking for a Product & Application Developer for Savory to join our dynamic NPD team in Malmö and shape the future of our product portfolio. 

At our newly build Caldic plant in Malmö we produce around 400 different products for the whole food sector in the Nordics. Caldic also represents many suppliers on the Nordic market.

As part of the NPD team, you will be a central part of the commercial organization and especially the savoury segment team, converting ideas to products and solutions as well as supporting sales with technical knowledge. The daily work will mainly be in customer originated projects either to create new blends for our production or to make recipe advice.

Your main segment will savory, where we have a lot of exciting ideas to grow. The pace is high and the project time short. Although our developers work in individual segments, we share our findings across segments to get direct feedback.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and drive product development projects from concept to completion

• Develop new Caldic products and improve existing ones

• Conduct application work and support technical development activities

• Work closely with our segment teams to contribute expertise and insights

• Provide technical support to sales teams and customers

• Transform new ideas into innovative products and concepts

• Participate in supplier training sessions, fairs, and industry seminars

Skills

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Independent, with a strong sense of ownership

• A team player who collaborates effectively across departments

• Solution-oriented and able to navigate challenges with ease

• Capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment

• Able to keep a holistic overview while working with details

• Ideally, you have worked a couple of years within savoury after an education in food technology.

Job Requirements

• Education and at least a few years of experience within the food industry, preferably savoury.

• Good IT skills.

• Excellent English skills. Good knowledge in one of the Nordic languages is a plus.
