Location: Cournon (Lyon or surrounding areas; up to ~2 hours driving distance acceptable).
About the Role
The Commercial Director France will be responsible for leading and developing the commercial organization of Caldic France, with a primary focus on Industrial Chemicals and a secondary focus on Personal Care. The role is critical to accelerating sustainable growth, strengthening commercial discipline, and driving consistent execution across the sales organization.
This position requires a senior commercial leader with strong people leadership skills, capable of motivating teams, improving performance culture, and translating strategic priorities into tangible commercial results. The Commercial Director will work closely with the leadership team to support the overall business objectives of Caldic France.
The role will be based in France, ideally within reasonable reach of Cournon (Lyon or surrounding areas; up to ~2 hours driving distance acceptable).
Key Responsibilities
- Commercial Leadership: Lead and develop the sales organization, ensuring strong performance, engagement, and accountability.
- Market Focus: Drive growth primarily in Industrial Chemicals, with Personal Care as a secondary priority.
- Growth Acceleration: Increase revenue, margin, and share of wallet through organic growth and new business development.
- Commercial Discipline: Strengthen sales processes, pricing discipline, pipeline management, forecasting, and CRM usage.
- Customer Focus: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and strategic accounts.
- People Development & Retention: Coach, motivate, and retain commercial talent, fostering a high-performance sales culture.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product management, supply chain, and management to align commercial execution.
Job Requirements
- University degree (business, science, or related field)
- 5–10 years in commercial leadership roles, preferably in B2B Industrial Chemicals.
- Strong exposure to Industrial Chemicals markets; experience in Personal Care is a plus.
- Proven track record in driving sales growth, improving margins, and strengthening commercial effectiveness.
- Demonstrated ability to lead established sales teams and manage change.
- Strong customer orientation, negotiation skills, and commercial acumen.
- Comfortable with CRM tools and data-driven sales management.
- Fluent in French and English.

- Growth in Material Margin (MM), revenue, and customer portfolio.
- Increased share of wallet and customer satisfaction.
- New business development success (volume and value).
- High-performing and engaged sales team.
