About the Role

As a Quality Control Specialist at BNL Sciences, you will play a key role in supporting the Quality Supervisor and Manager in maintaining and enhancing our Quality Management System (QMS). This is a hands-on position that involves collaboration across departments, customer interaction, and continuous improvement of quality processes.

The Quality Control Specialist is responsible for supporting QC approval activities within a regulated cleanroom environment. This role ensures that products meet established quality standards and regulatory requirements by reviewing data, maintaining compliant documentation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. The QC Specialist plays a critical role in batch disposition, deviation management, and continuous improvement of quality systems.

Key Responsibilities

    • Assist the Quality Supervisor and Quality Manager in maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS).
    • Under minimal supervision, be responsible for approval, release, and rejection of finished products, whilst collaborating with production and distribution departments.
    • With a high degree of technical flexibility, work across diverse areas within the cleanroom environment.
    • Review, evaluate, and approve analytical data, including environmental monitoring results.
    • Perform environmental monitoring sampling for cleanroom environments.
    • Evaluate cleanroom practices for compliance and operational excellence on a continuous basis.
    • Approve changes affecting intermediate or final product quality.
    • Track and trend QC data to identify potential trends in quality issues and/or process improvements
    • Review and approve validation protocols and reports.
    • Conduct document compliance checks.
    • Investigate and resolve critical deviations related to quality of products and cleanroom processes.
    • Review and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) with Quality Supervisor and Quality Manager approval.
    • Investigate and resolve quality and product-related complaints.]
    • Support calibration and maintenance of test equipment.
    • Develop and implement new QMS processes.
    • Deliver QMS training to new personnel.
    • Build strong inter-departmental relationships with internal departments, customers, and suppliers to address quality queries and complaints.
    • Participate as a quality department member on cross functional projects.
    • Ensure compliance with applicable BNL Sciences Standards

Skills

 

  • Understanding QA operations is an advantage
  • Experience working on manufacturing shop floor is an advantage
  • Strong understanding of QMS principles and audit processes.
  • Excellent communication and mentoring skills
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills

Job Requirements

 

  • 2+ years of experience in a relevant role.
  • Experience in quality control and/or quality assurance in a manufacturing or scientific environment preferred.
  • Strong attention to details and documentation accuracy
  • Problem solving and critical thinking abilities
