About the Role

We are looking for a results-oriented Market Unit Manager – Industrial Solutions (Construction) to lead and support a sales team in achieving ambitious growth targets.

 

This role combines strategic planning with hands-on leadership and requires a strong focus on sales execution, key accounts management, team development, and customer relationship management.

 

You will be responsible for setting and delivering on sales strategies, managing key supplier relationships, developing new portfolios, taking care of key customers and guiding your team of two through the full sales cycle.

 

Success in this role will come from your ability to lead by example, coach effectively, and build a culture focused on performance, accountability, and customer value.

Key Responsibilities

Lead with Strategy & Execution

  • Design and implement sales plans that directly drive country-level business results.
  • Guide your team to execute flawlessly, consistently exceeding revenue and margin goals.
  • Collaborate closely with the Industry Manager to align on targets, pipeline development, and key KPIs.

 

Be the Face of Sales

  • Act as the primary liaison for suppliers, owning key commercial relationships and ensuring alignment with business goals.

 

Inspire, Coach, Develop

  • Mentor your sales team on every aspect of the sales cycle—from identifying prospects to closing deals.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, ambition, and continuous improvement.

 

Customer-Centric Growth

  • Strengthen and expand long-term partnerships with key customers.
  • Bring best-in-class chemical solutions to market through close collaboration with internal functions—Marketing, R&D, Innovation, and Supply Chain.

 

Drive Operational Excellence

  • Oversee accurate inventory forecasting, receivables collection, and adherence to credit controls.
  • Ensure full CRM (Dynamics) adoption across the team for transparency and performance tracking.

 

 

Build the Future

    • Play a leading role in developing high-performing sales talent.
    • Stay connected with global strategy initiatives and translate them into local success stories.
    • Lead new business development initiatives by analysing market information from various sources, customer insights competitors, including industry reports
    • Prepare feasibility studies and reports to identify potential markets and prospective customers with high growth opportunities.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, technical, RA and supply chain) to ensure successful project implementation and market entry.

Position Requirements

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Chemistry, Engineering or a related field; MBA or advanced scientific degree is a plus.

 

Industry Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in the chemical industry with exposure to Construction material industry.
  • Strong B2B sales background with a record of leading teams/individual  to exceed ambitious goals.

 

Leadership & Sales Mastery:

  • Proven ability to coach, develop, and drive a high-performance sales culture.
  • Strategic thinker with hands-on execution skills.

 

Customer-Focused Mindset:

  • Excellent relationship builder with a deep understanding of customer needs and market trends.

 

Tech & Financial Acumen:

  • Comfortable with CRM systems (preferably Dynamics) and capable of interpreting financial data to make sound business decisions.

 

Communication & Compliance:

  • Exceptional communicator in English (spoken and written).
  • Committed to team safety and compliance with company policies.
