About the Role

Caldic is seeking an experienced and innovative Application Development Manager to lead formulation development activities within the Personal & Home Care (PHC) business. This role is focused primarily on skin care, sun care (sunscreen), and adjacent cosmetic categories, working closely with global and regional suppliers to develop scientifically sound, market-relevant formulations that support customer projects and business growth.

The successful candidate will combine deep technical expertise in cosmetic formulation with strong customer-facing capabilities, translating ingredient technologies into differentiated product concepts and commercially viable solutions. The role requires independent formulation development, technical troubleshooting, supplier collaboration, and cross-functional engagement with commercial, procurement, regulatory, quality, and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the PHC Application Development team, including performance management, coaching, capability building, and resource planning.
• Define and execute the technical and formulation development strategy aligned with business growth objectives and supplier initiatives.
• Develop innovative and commercially viable formulations for skin care, sun care, and other personal care applications using Caldic's ingredient portfolio.
• Manage the application development pipeline, prioritizing projects and ensuring timely delivery of customer and innovation projects.
• Provide technical support to customers through formulation development, troubleshooting, presentations, and product commercialization activities.
• Collaborate with strategic suppliers to evaluate new technologies, develop formulation concepts, and drive innovation opportunities.
• Oversee laboratory operations, formulation testing, documentation, stability studies, and scale-up activities while ensuring safety and quality compliance.
• Partner with Commercial, Procurement, Regulatory, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to support business development, product launches, and customer success.

Skills

• B.Sc./B.Tech./M.Sc./M.Tech. in Cosmetic Technology, Cosmetic Science, Nutrition, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 7–8 years of hands-on experience in Cosmetics formulation and Home care application development.
• Proven experience in independently designing commercial Personal and home care and selecting suitable raw materials.

Job Requirements

• B.Sc./B.Tech./M.Sc./M.Tech. in Cosmetic Technology, Cosmetic Science, Nutrition, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 7–8 years of hands-on experience in Cosmetics formulation and Home care application development.
• Proven experience in independently designing commercial Personal and home care and selecting suitable raw materials.
