About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Account Specialist to join our sales team in the Food & Nutrition sector. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting both the Account Manager and Key Account Manager by assisting with client requests, coordinating account activities, and helping drive sales initiatives. The Account Specialist position is an ideal starting point for those who are passionate about sales, client service, and gaining hands-on experience in account management.

 

As an Account Specialist, you will focus on supporting existing accounts and helping to generate incremental growth by ensuring high-quality customer interactions and handling administrative and operational needs. If you are detail-oriented, proactive, and eager to contribute to sales growth, this is a great opportunity to develop your sales skills and build relationships in the industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Account Support & Coordination
    • Act as a primary point of contact for day-to-day client inquiries and requests, providing timely and accurate information.
    • Support the Account Manager and Key Account Manager with administrative tasks, order processing, and documentation related to client accounts.

 

  • Sales Execution & Lead Generation
    • Assist in identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts, and actively promote additional products or services where relevant.
    • Support lead generation activities by conducting research on potential prospects and helping to identify qualified leads.

 

  • Client Relationship Management
    • Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, ensuring their satisfaction and handling minor issues as they arise.
    • Communicate product updates, promotions, and new offerings to clients, keeping them informed and engaged.

 

  • Sales Reporting & Data Management
    • Track and update customer information in CRM systems, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
    • Prepare and present regular reports on client activity, sales performance, and other key metrics to help the Account Manager and Key Account Manager make informed decisions.

 

  • Market & Product Knowledge
    • Develop a strong understanding of our products, services, and industry to effectively communicate product features and benefits to clients.
    • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitive offerings to assist in positioning our products effectively.

Job Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology or related qualifications.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in a customer-facing or sales support role, ideally within the Food & Nutrition sector.
  • Sales Skills: Strong interest in sales with a customer-centric approach and a willingness to learn proactive selling techniques.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally with clients.
  • Organizational Skills: High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Analytical Ability: Ability to gather and interpret client and market data, providing insights to support account growth.
  • Tools: Proficiency in MS Office and CRM software, with the ability to quickly learn new tools.
